Five months before our wedding, we decided to put all our belongings into storage and travel. We took off in nothing but carry-ons for London and have since knocked off over 120 countries together.
Now, three years later, our travel aspirations have grown. We’re now on a journey to 165 countries, visiting all 7 continents, drinking at all of the worlds top 100 bars, seeing the wonders of the world, and chasing all the Michelin stars in our path.
RECENT VISITS
Pictured: During a 5 mile walk through the Banco National Forest, we stopped to snap a pick with a beautiful and massive tree before heading back to the port in Abidjan.
Pictured: Standing at the top of Elmina Castle overlooking Elmina Bay as the locals take their boats out to fish, we toured around the castle to learn what role it played in the history of slavery.

Our main excursion in Togo was called “All About Voodoo” - therefore we spent a 10 hour day driving to different villages seeing how each and everyone of them practices their traditional African beliefs differently. The 4 different villages we visited all had very different styles and rituals for their practice.

Our time in Congo was short, but we did the most exotic thing one can do while in this lesser-traveled West African country. After getting to the port, we took a few hour bus ride to the river, where we then proceeded to take a small zodiak style boat 2 hours deeper into the bush to spend time with chimpanzees!

The coast of Angola is so naturally beautiful and reminded us of what an untouched California could look like. Re-learning parts of the history of slave trade was sobering, eye-opening, painful, yet left a mark of relief of it’s resolution and the forgiveness that has been learned as a path forward.

Namibia, although seemingly covered in sand dunes, had surprisingly so much diversity to offer! The salt flats, the flamingos, Walvis Bay, the diamonds near Luderitz, the beautiful ocean, thousands of seals, shipwrecks on the beach, and historic old towns - and that’s only the west coast!
200 airports later, 450k flight miles, 28 days spent in the air on a plane, and 106 different airlines around the world, reaching all 7 world wonders together - all within 3 years.

Our road trip through the Balkans had its ups and downs and we’re so grateful we had the chance to see all that this part of the world has to offer. We loved the big cities in the countries, but really fell in love with the countryside, hidden caves, small canyons, boutique lakes and smaller river-encircled towns in between.
As of March 2023, we’ve logged 24000 miles. That’s equivalent to 1 trip around the world. We’re only 3 months in!
When we first started traveling, we had only been to about 13 countries and only 2 continents. By now, we have been to all 7 continents and plan to revisit many of the countries, but on the next round get to the “deeper cuts”. We want to go where the city folks go to escape the city.
