Five months before our wedding, we decided to put all our belongings into storage and travel. We took off in nothing but carry-ons for London and have since knocked off almost 160 countries together.
Now, traveling full-time four years later, our travel aspirations have grown. We’ve found ourselves on a journey to 195 countries, visiting all 7 continents, drinking at all of the worlds top 100 bars, seeing the wonders of the world, and chasing all the Michelin stars in our path.
RECENT VISITS

What to say about Eritrea? Uniquely positioned on the Red Sea coast, there is a lot of potential for the country - meanwhile it seems that they are perfectly content without credit cards, any kind of digital banking (they keep their bank account registry on a piece of paper), AOL dial-up speed “wi-fi”. Plainly put, technology is their last concern - and the well behaved children and respectful adults are a product of it.

Saudi is working feverishly to make tourism a bigger contributor to their economy. Our favorite stop in Saudi Arabia was definitely AlUla, a short flight from Riyadh. Our last stop in the Middle East before returning home was a relaxing one in the desert with the highlight as touring Hegra.

Oman is such a quiet country, we visited three different parts of the surrounding Muscat area: the mountains, the ocean, and the luxurious Jumeirah Bay. Like Saudi, Oman is still working to develop their tourism industry - and you can see why they haven’t had to as you drive by miles and miles of oilfields and pipelines.

Yemen (or Socotra Island) was our absolute favorite landscape visits in all of the Middle East. Their scenery and natural beauty is unlike anything we’d seen before and is almost incomparable to any other place. The diversity of the landscape, mountains, trees, beaches, sand dunes, and rain forest like climate seems almost impossible to all fit on a small island that you can drive around in 5 hours.

We drove across the border from Syria to Lebanon; from Damascus to Beirut. The contrast between the two was stark - Lebanon, although not without their share of conflict, has been given the opportunity to rebuild and construct a beautiful and vibrant main city. The food in Lebanon was THE best in the Middle East (but I do believe all the chefs are Syrian).

Putting together the itinerary to visit all the South Pacific Oceanic countries was no simple task, and we’ve put together this page to help those who also have the desire to see these remote and least visited islands in the world.
We spent 40 days aboard the Silver Wind cruise ship starting our adventure in Cape Town and making it all the way up to Lisbon. This route is only done once per year and the people aboard are big travelers who want to dig deeper into Africa.
200 airports later, 450k flight miles, 28 days spent in the air on a plane, and 106 different airlines around the world, reaching all 7 world wonders together - all within 3 years.

Our road trip through the Balkans had its ups and downs and we’re so grateful we had the chance to see all that this part of the world has to offer. We loved the big cities in the countries, but really fell in love with the countryside, hidden caves, small canyons, boutique lakes and smaller river-encircled towns in between.
As of March 2023, we’ve logged 24000 miles. That’s equivalent to 1 trip around the world. We’re only 3 months in!
When we first started traveling, we had only been to about 13 countries and only 2 continents. By now, we have been to all 7 continents and plan to revisit many of the countries, but on the next round get to the “deeper cuts”. We want to go where the city folks go to escape the city.
