El Salvador

From January 29th to January 31st, 2024

San Salvador

Stay

  • Intercontinental

See/Do

  • City Tour: checked out how locals buy/sell Bitcoin on a Chivo bitcoin style ATM, took pictures around Parque Morazan in front of their National Theatre, went to Plaza Gerardo Barrios, went inside the Iglesia El Rosario (one of the most beautiful, natural, and artistic churches we’ve been into), went into the San Salvador Cathedral and learned about Romero (their famous human rights priest who was eventually assasinated, of which erupted many protests), and went into Iglesia El Calvario. We drove by several other outdoor markets on our way to lunch.

  • This evening we ate dinner at the hotel and then went to a Luis Miguel concert at Estadio Cuscatlan.

Eat/Drink

  • Tacos Hermanos: One of the best lunch spots weve been to in all of our travels! The line can get long, so make sure to show up before they open to grab yourself a spot. The food was incredible, salsas galore, and there was so much to choose from on the menu.
