  • Merrion

See/Do

  • Temple Bar - we went almost every night that we had the energy (which was every night)

  • Jameson Distillery on Bow Street, we did a whiskey tasting, but you can do many other things! 

  • Guinness Brewery - we were paraded through it like cattle, but it was such a well designed experience. We got to make a personalized beer with our picture on top of the foam

  • St. Patricks Cathedral - an icon in the city 

  • Walk around or take a tour of Trinity College - another icon of the city 

  • We didn’t get a chance to visit, but many people recommended Kilmainham Gaol

  • Walk all around town or take a horse and carriage ride

  • Day Trip: Belfast

    • Titanic Museum since this is where Titanic made it’s berth

  • Day trip: Giant’s Causeway

    • We stopped in Bushmills to have lunch at Market SQ. We ate garlic bread, got a burger and chicken on top of potatoes 

    • Tour & taste at The Old Bushmills Distillery

Eat/Drink

  • Drinks at 1661 

  • Drinks & bar snacks at Vintage Cocktail Club

  • Drinks at the bar in the Merrion Hotel, Number 23

  • Pub & bar snacks: Brazen Head - allegedly the oldest pub in Ireland (a serious claim!)

  • Casual lunch or dinner: Masa Mexican Grill

  • Dromoland Castle

See/Do

  • At the Dromoland castle:

    • Shoot clay

    • Golf

    • Bike around the property

    • Take a paddle boat around on the pond 

    • Walk on the forest trails on the property 

    • Walk through The Walled Garden on property to enjoy the beautifully manicured gardens 

  • Day Trip: Cliffs of Moher

    • We had beautiful weather and got to spend some time walking the cliffs

Eat/Drink

  • The Cocktail Bar at the Dromoland Castle 

  • Dinner at Michelin restaurant Earl of Thomond at Dromoland castle 

  • Lunch at The Fig Tree at Dromoland Castle - incredible golf club style casual spot
