From May 11th-12th and May 14th-15th, 2023
Day 1
Flew LOT Airlines from NYC to Warsaw, took car from the airport and checked into Hotel Bristol
Grabbed bite to eat at highest rated place in the city named Zapiecek across from the Kazanowski Palace
Walked around the city at Stare Miasto across the Vistula River
Walked around Warsaw Zoo that was where The Zookeepers Wife took place, saw silverback gorillas, giraffes, lions, snakes, meerkats, zebras, etc.
After zoo we took scooters back to the hotel area and went to bar to meet Ryan, our guide for Ukraine
Went to Zagrywki arcade bar and played ski-ball, pinball, putt-putt, and shuffle board.
Walked to get Zapiexy Luxusowe for zapikoknas. One cheese with mushroom, another just cheese. The place was filled up with locals.
Day 2
Woke up and prepared for the drive to Ukraine, had breakfast in the hotel lobby and left around 8:10am, arrived to the border around 1pm, crossing took about 45 minutes, made it to Lviv around 4pm. Click here to move to Ukraine post.
Day 3
Drove in from Lviv, Ukraine and spent about 2 hours at the border crossing. We ordered food in to the hotel as we were too exhausted to go out and do anything this night. We just needed a good night’s rest.
Day 4
Left for the airport to fly from Warsaw to Sofia, Bulgaria.
