  • Lungshan Temple - one of the oldest in the city, waterfalls around the area, koi fish & dragon statues 

  • Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall & Liberty Square Arch, walk up the stars of the memorial hall to get a larger than life picture of the leader and two guards 

  • Shopping area with local artisan shops at Huashan 1914 Creative Park.

  • Observatory at the top of Taipei 101

  • Shilin Night Market - watch people fish for prawns and eat them, play arcade games, buy stuffed animals, throw darts at balloons, take a crack at unique looking street food, throw the rings around the bottles for a prize, play pinball, order more street food, scissor cut fried tofu, shop for the counterfeit goods

  • National Palace Museum: to learn a little history about Taiwan and the history of the people who have ebbed and flowed out of it. See incredible artifacts from the Han Dynasty, historic artifacts, buddhas sculpted out of wood, buddhas sculpted out of bronzehand made pots and ceramics, nature items carved out of stone & jade, prayers written on slips made of stone, abacuses with counters made of jade,
